Women’s Work is a National Award Winning Charity founded in 2003. We aim to deliver a holistic, person centred support service to vulnerable and disadvantaged women with complex health and social needs. We do this by ensuring they can access support, education and information to raise self-esteem and confidence, empowering them to make positive life choices resulting in improved health and wellbeing.

Social Media & Communications Officer

12 hours per week permanent Salary £8,736 per annum, £14 per hour

We are seeking a talented, motivated and highly organised Social Media & Communications Officer to join our Team and play a key role in creating engaging content for the Women’s Work social media sites, supporting communications and participating in networking and fundraising events, to promote the charity. The Role This is predominantly an office-based role working closely with the Business Development Manager with a focus on:

Being responsible for the creation of engaging content for all Women’s Work social media sites (currently Facebook, Ingram and Linkedln)

Increase our following across social media sites and help us reach new audiences

Promote and assist with development of Women’s Work campaigns to help spread awareness of our work and increase donations

Be responsible for the maintenance of the charity website

Create marketing and media information including Bi-Monthly newsletter for the charity

Attend networking events to raise awareness of Women’s Work, taking photos or short videos

You will provide support to the CEO, Business Development Manager and Finance Manager to build and maintain relationships with external partners, stakeholders and community organisations to support the charity’s mission

About You

The successful applicant will be self-motivated, detail-focused and high organized, with strong social media and communication skills.

You will be able to work collaboratively while also managing competing priorities independently. You will also be able to demonstrate:

Social media skills

Experience of using Canva marketing Suite and Meta Business Suite and have content creations skills

Strong relationship-building skills across multiple sectors

Empathy and a clear commitment to Women’s Work values, aims and objectives

Additional Information

An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
