Full job description

Marketing & Brand Manager (Part-Time)

Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Hours: Approximately 2-3 days per week (flexible)

Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience.

About Us

We are a well-established, family-owned commercial property company based in Barnsley. Established in 1954, we're now into our third generation and continue to invest in and grow our portfolio of multi-let industrial estates alongside our successful self-storage business.

Our reputation has been built on providing quality commercial premises, excellent customer service and long-term relationships with our tenants. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for someone to take ownership of our marketing and help drive the next stage of our development.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional marketing role.

We're looking for someone who understands today's digital marketing landscape and enjoys taking ideas from concept through to delivery. We want someone who can identify opportunities, make recommendations, and get things done—even when we haven't thought to ask.

You'll become the driving force behind our marketing, helping us strengthen our brand, generate more enquiries, improve our online visibility and ensure every part of the business is presented professionally and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver our marketing strategy across the business.
Manage and continually improve our websites to ensure they are engaging, up to date and fully optimised.
Improve our Google rankings through effective SEO and local search optimisation.
Manage all Google Business Profiles across our self-storage facilities and commercial property portfolio.
Plan and manage social media content across multiple platforms, creating engaging content that reflects our brand.
Design and produce marketing materials including brochures, property particulars, estate directories, banners, signage and letting boards.
Maintain consistent branding across all our industrial estates, self-storage sites, websites and printed materials.
Promote vacant industrial units and self-storage facilities through digital marketing campaigns.
Monitor website performance, campaign effectiveness and enquiry levels using Google Analytics and other reporting tools.
Carry out market and competitor research to identify new opportunities.
Bring fresh ideas that improve our marketing, customer experience and brand presence.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working independently and taking ownership.

You'll be proactive, organised and commercially minded, with the confidence to suggest new ideas and the ability to turn them into reality.

Ideally you'll have experience in:

Digital marketing and campaign management.
SEO and local search optimisation.
Google Business Profile management.
Website content management (WordPress or similar CMS).
Google Analytics and Search Console.
Social media strategy and content creation.
Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
Email marketing and CRM systems.
Branding and brand development.
Copywriting with excellent written English.

Experience within commercial property or self-storage would be an advantage but is not essential.
