GPH Builders Merchants are the largest independent Builders merchants in the North of Scotland operating from 4 locations across Aberdeenshire.
We have a vacancy for a relief Class 2 Lorry Driver to join our transport team operating predominantly across the North East of Scotland. Our branches operate Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm.
The successful candidate will be transporting a wide range of construction materials to construction sites, business premises and households. The business operates a modern fleet of vehicles and require a driver with a high level of care for their own safety and that of our customers. We are looking for drivers who are used to dealing the customers and have a warm, friendly and helpful manner. There is an option to be based at either our Inverurie or Westhill sites.
This opportunity could suit an individual whom has recently passed their class 2 and looking to gain experience and build a driving career. There will be at least 28 weeks of holiday cover which will be spent driving. The remainder of the time will be warehouse based.
Responsibilities
- Operate 3.5T to Class 2 Hiab vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
- Deliver goods to designated locations, maintaining accurate delivery records.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
- Manage flatbed loads securely, adhering to weight limits and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Maintain a clean driving record and uphold company policies at all times.
- Working in warehouse when not driving.
· Full-time, Permanent 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday. 39 Hours per week, any overtime is paid at x1.5.

Pay: £14.00-£21.00 per hour
