Teacher of Barbering (September 2026 ) - £27,562 - £49,725 depending on qualifications pro rata

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Barbering to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator with industry experience to inspire and develop the next generation of barbering and hairdressing professionals.

We are looking for a well-qualified individual with a background in industry to teach on our level 2 barbering programme. An ability to also teach hairdressing would be an advantage. Many of our vocational staff have joined us from industry and made successful career moves into post 16 education.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about delivering high quality, engaging lessons which develop the skills and attributes young people need to work in the hair dressing and barbering sector.

This is a part-time role, over three days a week 0.43 – Thursday and Friday plus one other day which is negotiable. There may be opportunity for additional hours for someone who can contribute to other areas such as hairdressing.

The College welcomes applications from experienced teachers as well as experienced professionals who would like to change careers and enter teaching.

The College offers a Post Graduate Certificate in education through Brighton University and would support the successful candidate.

The post offers an excellent salary, generous holidays and an excellent pension scheme (Teachers Pension Scheme).

The successful candidates will be required to possess an enhanced DBS certificate to be employed at the College.
