Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations within our bustling café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food preparation and service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer experience, maintaining food safety standards, and managing overall café performance. Previous experience in restaurant or hotel settings, along with culinary expertise, will be highly valued. The Cafe Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the café team, including baristas, servers, and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
Manage daily operations including opening and closing procedures, stock control, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold food production standards.
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor team performance to optimise productivity.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Maintain a welcoming environment that reflects the brand’s hospitality values.
Assist in training new staff members in service procedures, food safety protocols, and culinary techniques.
Collaborate with suppliers to manage stock levels and order supplies as needed.
Implement promotional activities to increase café patronage and sales.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Experience in food service roles such as serving or barista work is desirable but not essential.
Familiarity with kitchen operations, food production processes, and hospitality management software is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers alike.
