Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Dessert Shop Server to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with food and beverage orders in a lively dessert shop environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, engaging with customers and supporting the preparation of delicious treats. Previous experience in food service or a culinary background is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. All roles are paid positions, including internships.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
Serve desserts, beverages, and other menu items in a timely manner
Assist with food production and preparation as needed, ensuring quality standards are maintained
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the serving area and dining space
Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems efficiently
Ensure food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about menu items and offering recommendations
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the shop

Qualifications

Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or restaurant service is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic cooking or baking skills are advantageous
Experience with culinary tasks or kitchen experience is preferred but training will be provided for enthusiastic candidates
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
