Full job description

About Us:

Arkle Partners Limited is a growing investment and operating group working across a range of industries. We partner with and acquire businesses, supporting them with strategic, operational and financial expertise to help them grow.

Our portfolio spans multiple sectors, meaning our finance team works across a diverse range of businesses, accounting systems and operational models. We are looking for a capable and organised Management Accountant to support the accounts department with management reporting, analysis and finance operations across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

Management Accounts & Reporting:

Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and journals across the group’s portfolio companies.
Supporting the production of financial reports, variance analysis and VAT Returns
Systems analysis and stock control, with elements of costing and forecasting involved.

Financial Day-to-Day Operations:

Reviewing supplier payment runs prior to authorisation
Ensuring strong financial controls and accuracy in financial data and postings
Supporting reconciliations and month-end processes where required.

Systems & Processes:

Working across a range of accounting and ERP systems alongside aiding with implementing them into new acquisitions
Supporting improvements to finance processes and reporting
Assisting with data extraction and analysis from Sage50, CIM50 and Syspro.

Year Ends:

Supporting the preparation of schedules and information required for statutory accounts.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone organised, analytical and comfortable working across multiple businesses and systems.

Essential:

Understanding of management accounts and financial reporting
Strong Excel skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage priorities

Desirable:

Accounting experience with SMEs.
Experience working with multiple accounting or ERP systems
Exposure to cost analysis or business performance reporting
