Overview
AVP Global is an audio-visual integrator with offices in London, Amsterdam, New York, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and New Delhi. Our main focus is the installation of audio-visual technology in commercial premises. We have a wide network of clients around the world, therefore the ability and willingness to travel is essential.
We are currently seeking a self-motivated and reliable candidate, who can work independently and find solutions to complete the job. The position will involve travelling to project sites, installing, monitoring, and maintaining AV equipment.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual systems for clients
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with audio-visual equipment
- Collaborate with clients to determine their audio-visual needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and ensure proper equipment placement
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of audio-visual systems
- Provide training and support to clients on the use of audio-visual equipment
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in audio-visual technology
Experience:
- Preferred knowledge and experience in Commissioning and programming Q-sys - QSC would be advantage
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in audio-visual engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of computer networking and telecommunication systems
- Experience with equipment repair and maintenance
- Ability to use hand tools for installation and troubleshooting purposes
- Willing to travel frequently, during the week, Monday to Friday, with some overnight stays. Accommodation and travel costs will be paid for by the company and a subsistence allowance given.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lead the delivery of software to individual sites
- Familiarity with Avaya, Cisco Routers, VoIP, and Ethernet protocols a plus
- Proficiency in electrical work, including wiring and connecting audio-visual equipment.
