Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile professional to join our team as a carpenter/general builder.

Must have full driving license and own tools and transport

This role involves a variety of construction tasks on extensions, loft conversions and renovation projects across the Cheltenham and Gloucestershire area..

The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of carpentry , roofing and general building knowledge. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing team on a CIS basis, (payed weekly)

Duties

Perform carpentry and joinery work, to include 1st & 2nd fix carpentry , kitchen and bedroom fitting, flooring etc…
Conduct roofing tasks, including installation and repairs
Engage in heavy lifting to move materials and equipment safely
Using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards

Skills

Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, roofing
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to construction activities
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications is desirable
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and project requirements

This position is suitable for individuals with practical experience in construction-related trades who are committed to delivering quality workmanship. Applicants should be organised, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute positively within a collaborative team environment.
