Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to jwork with us in our garage based operations in Hale. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting our accounting functions. This role offers flexibility and an opportunity to work within a professional environment, utilising various accounting software tools to ensure the integrity of financial data. The ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and experience with popular accounting programmes sage line 50 .

The hours required are 8/9 hours per week

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry and transaction recording
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
Process accounts payable and receivable efficiently
Maintain organised financial records in accordance with company policies
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Utilise accounting software such as Sage to update financial information
Support the preparation of financial reports and statements as required
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards

Experience

Experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
Knowledge in accounting software Sage
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple priorities effectively
Prior experience in small to medium-sized business environments is advantageous

The role requires a proactive approach, strong organisational skills, and familiarity with key accounting tools to support our financial operations efficiently.

Pay: £15.00 per hour
