Talbot Walker LLP, a well-established and respected law firm, is currently seeking a talented and
experienced Dispute Resolution/Litigation Lawyer (Solicitor or Legal Executive) to join our team in
providing high-quality legal services to our clients.
As a Dispute Resolution/Litigation Lawyer (Solicitor or Legal Executive), you will be responsible for
managing a wide range of contentious matters for our clients, including commercial, property and
other disputes and issues which may affect our clients. You will be expected to provide a high level of
client care, working closely with clients to understand their needs and provide effective legal
solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Handling a caseload of litigious matters for clients, from initial instruction through to
resolution, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Advising clients on the merits of their case, including the prospects of success and potential
risks involved.
- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
- Conducting negotiations with other parties, including opposing solicitors, and representing
clients in court.
- Maintaining accurate records of time spent on each matter and billing clients accordingly.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in the law and legal precedents.
- Managing your workload effectively and working closely with colleagues to ensure the
smooth running of the department
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor/legal executive with a minimum of 2 years PQE in litigation work
- Strong technical knowledge and experience.
- Excellent client care skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal
matters to clients.
- Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a varied
workload and work to tight deadlines.
- Sound judgement and the ability to assess risk.
- A commitment to providing high-quality legal advice and excellent client service.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other
professionals.
- A strong commercial awareness and understanding of the business world.
