Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Admin and Accounts professional to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your accounting skills within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, supporting administrative functions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. Experience with recognised accounting software is essential to excel in this position.

Duties

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software Xero
Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management review
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims
Support administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and correspondence organisation
Liaise with external auditors and vendors as required
Monitor and update financial data to ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulations
Contribute to the optimisation of accounting procedures to improve efficiency
Credit control and chasing overdue invoices
Supporting wider office team when required
Financial reports with costings of vehicle maintainence and fueling.

Qualifications

Proven experience in administration and accounting roles, preferably within a similar industry
Proficiency in accounting software Xero is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
