Job Overview
Brunswick House Surgery (Clee Hill) are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispenser to join our practice team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in advancing their career within the pharmacy or healthcare sector. Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in medication administration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients in accordance with the doctor’s instructions and pharmacy protocols
Assist with medication administration under supervision, ensuring correct dosages and patient safety
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and update patient files accordingly
Support patient care activities by providing information about medication usage and potential side effects
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times
Manage inventory levels, restock supplies, and report any discrepancies or shortages
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of patient services

Skills

Previous experience of working in a General Practice Dispensary or Hospital Pharmacy is preferred
Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and patient care principles
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail to prevent errors
Good communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and record keeping practices is advantageous
