Based in Stoke-on-Trent, our busy manufacturing premises houses a team of dedicated professionals who turn complex designs into reality. Due to sustained growth, we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced MIG / TIG Welder to join our team.
The Role
As a skilled welder at Hallmark, you will be a key player in our production process. You will be responsible for fabricating and welding high-quality components from engineering drawings, working with a variety of materials (including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum).
Key Responsibilities:
- High-quality MIG and TIG welding on various gauges of metal.
- Reading and accurately interpreting technical fabrication/engineering drawings.
- Setting up, operating, and maintaining welding equipment safely.
- Assembling, clamping, and prepping materials prior to welding.
- Conducting self-inspection of welds to ensure they meet our strict quality standards.
- Adhering to all company health and safety regulations at all times.
What We’re Looking For
We need someone who takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record as a MIG and TIG Welder within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a group from engineering drawings with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to neat, structurally sound welds.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a proactive attitude.
- Coding/Certifications are highly desirable, though practical skills are paramount (a weld test will be part of the interview process).
