About Us

We are a well-established roofing Company specialising in traditional hard metal roofing and cladding projects across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. We are seeking an organised and reliable Office Administrator/ Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day running of our business. This position is office based in Sticklepath, Okehampton.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping:

Process purchase invoices and supplier statements.
Raise sales invoices and monitor customer payments.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
Assist with payroll administration.
Maintain accurate financial records using accounting QuickBooks.
Liaise with accountants.

Administration:

Answer telephone calls and respond to emails professionally.
Manage office filing systems and company records.
Prepare contracts, and project documentation.
Order office and material supplies and maintain stock levels.
Assist with Health & Safety documentation and compliance records.
Support project managers and directors with administrative tasks.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Previous experience in bookkeeping and office administration.
Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Professional telephone manner and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

Experience within the construction or roofing industry.
Familiarity with CRM or job management systems.
