We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Pizza Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team and help shape a busy restaurant with a growing food offering. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced service environment, enjoys leading from the front, and takes pride in serving consistently great food.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading the Kitchen
- Running smooth day-to-day kitchen operations during busy service periods.
- Training and supporting the kitchen team to maintain high standards and a positive working environment.
- Creating rotas that keep service running effectively while managing staffing levels efficiently.
- Leading by example during peak periods and helping the team stay calm, organised, and service-focused.
- Pizza & Menu Quality
- Maintaining high standards in dough prep, hand-stretching, and pizza service.
- Developing weekly specials and seasonal ideas that fit the Red Goat atmosphere.
- Working with customer feedback to keep the menu fresh, popular, and operationally efficient.
- Ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen consistently and quickly.
- Kitchen Operations & Cost Control
- Monitoring stock, wastage, and ingredient costs to maintain strong margins.
- Managing labour costs and helping improve kitchen efficiency.
- Overseeing ordering, storage, and stock rotation.
- Keeping equipment maintained and reporting issues proactively.
- Food Safety & Standards
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness across all kitchen areas.
- Ensuring HACCP procedures and health & safety standards are consistently followed.
- Completing daily checks and maintaining accurate food safety records.
- Fostering a kitchen culture where standards matter and everyone takes ownership.
What We’re Looking For:
- Essential Criteria
- Strong experience hand-stretching pizza dough in a busy kitchen environment.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a kitchen team.
- Experience managing stock, GP, wastage, and labour costs.
- Ability to stay organised and composed during high-volume service.
- Qualifications
- Valid Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (Supervisory level).
Salary & Benefits:
- Package
- £30-£32k salary
- 40-hour contract
