At Inverurie Smile Care, we have an exciting opportunity to welcome a new member to the Dental Nursing team. We are an award-winning, family-run dental practice, who prides ourselves on giving the best service to our patients and maintaining a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for both patients and colleagues.

TRAINEE NURSE applications do not require any dental experience but show a willingness to learn, with a minimum of 4 Standard Grades/or equivalent level (including English, and a Science is preferred).

QUALIFIED DENTAL NURSE applications should have worked in a similar position previously and be currently registered with the GDC.

Brief list of Responsibilities :

To establish and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team.
To ensure that the surgical areas and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained, including aspiration systems and autoclaves, paying all due attention to relevant legal and ethical codes, in addition to the practice policy in respect of cross infection control and Health & Safety
Provide clinical assistance to the dentists/ hygienist while treating the patient, under his/her supervision.
Continually interpret the needs of the patients and dentists or hygienist, and deal with them promptly and efficiently
Ensure that all necessary laboratory work is returned and ready for each session.
Monitor and maintain stocks within the dental surgery as necessary
To maintain and increase competence in nursing skills by actively following a programme of Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
To assist at reception and perform other clerical duties if required.
