Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating metal components and assemblies with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
- Operate various fabrication equipment, including TIG welders and other welding machines, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
- Perform welding tasks using TIG welding techniques and other welding processes suitable for the project.
- Fabricate components from sheet metal, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and quality standards.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or sub-assemblies.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Conduct quality checks on finished work to ensure compliance with specifications.
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG welding and other welding techniques relevant to applicable welding standards.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of assembly procedures for metal components and structures.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
