Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Loading Shovel Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to load, unload, and move materials efficiently and safely across the site. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to operate excavators with precision. The ideal applicant will possess relevant experience in operating Loading Shovels / 360 excavators within a production environment, while adhering to safety standards and operational guidelines.
Typical Responsibilities (but not limited to)
Plant
- Operating loading shovels to feed processing equipment
General yard duties to include
- Weighbridge cover
- Machinery inspection and maintenance
- Re-fuelling
- Shift Clean downs
- Housekeeping & tidiness
- Following all health and safety regulations and company protocols.
Experience
Candidates should ideally have at least 1 yrs experience in the following areas:
- Operating a Loading Shovel with relevant licence
- Operating a 360 excavator with selector Grab
- Working within a busy Waste or aggregate yard
- Some basic experience using Microsoft packages

The package:
Salary indication: £37,700 per annum + Discretionary bonuses
Holidays: 28 days (Inclusive of Bank Holidays)
Working hours: 7.00am to 5.30pm (some flexibility required)
Working Days: Monday to Friday (47.5 hours) & every other Saturday (morning shift of 5 hours) with potential of overtime available
Licence/Certification:
- Loading shovel license (required)
- 360 excavator license (required)

Pay: £14.50 per hour
