About us

Red Shoes is a thriving dance school based in Haslemere, Surrey. We provide high quality classes in Ballet, Modern Theatre, Contemporary, Tap and Acro taught by qualified teachers and dance experts who love what they do and are passionate about dance.

Red Shoes School of Dance is looking for a qualified teacher, or working towards a qualification, to join their team in Haslemere, Surrey. The school has over 200 students attending classes on a weekly basis at a small number of local locations.

Ballet is a popular genre at Red Shoes and we will be looking to have someone take over two pre-school ballet classes (ages 2–3 and 3–4), which focus on introducing young children to the joy of ballet and dance. We use props and aim to make the classes as fun and engaging as possible.

We also have a popular Musical Theatre class on Saturdays which a successful applicant would also run. The two-hour musical theatre dance class called “Red Shoes Company” (ages 8–12) includes warm-ups, corner work, and choreography created collaboratively by both students and the teacher. For many of the students, this is their only weekly class, so we focus on developing their skills through fun and creative dance based activities. We also aim to provide performance opportunities at local events throughout the year.

Candidate will be a qualified dance teacher or working towards a qualification and enjoy working with small children.

Job Type: Contract
Working Time: Saturday Mornings (depending on candidate availability)
Salary: £25 per hour depending on experience.
Joining Date: ASAP
Start date: September 2026
