Full job description

Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer (minimum 2 years’ PQE) to join a busy and expanding Conveyancing department in Skipton, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent Residential Conveyancer job offering hybrid working, flexible hours, free parking and a competitive salary depending on experience, within a friendly and collaborative team. The Residential Conveyancer job in Skipton, North Yorkshire has arisen due to continued departmental growth.

Role Responsibilities

The incoming Residential Conveyancer will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions.

Your responsibilities as a Residential Conveyancer will include:

Managing sale, purchase, remortgage and transfer of equity files.
Title checking and raising/responding to enquiries.
Exchanging contracts and completing transactions.
Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors.
Submitting SDLT returns and Land Registry applications.
Handling leasehold matters and liaising with landlords and managing agents.
Undertaking searches and complying with AML requirements.
Supporting the development and promotion of the Conveyancing department.

Person Specification

The successful Residential Conveyancer will demonstrate:

Minimum 2 years’ PQE in Residential Conveyancing, as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licenced Conveyancer or highly experienced Fee-Earner (substantial years of experience)
Experience managing a varied caseload independently.
Strong knowledge of Land Registry procedures and the CML Handbook.
Excellent client care and communication skills.
A proactive, organised and team-focused approach.
