Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and experienced Senior barber / Hairdresser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hair styling and barbering, with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an opportunity to lead by example, mentor junior staff, and contribute to creating a welcoming environment for clients. The Senior Hairdresser will be responsible for providing high-quality hair treatments, styling, and grooming services while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism. This position is fully paid and suitable for individuals committed to advancing their career within the beauty industry.

Responsibilities

Deliver a wide range of hairdressing services including cutting, colouring, styling, and grooming tailored to clients’ preferences.
Provide expert barbering services such as beard trimming, shaves, and traditional cuts.
Offer personalised consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles or treatments.
Maintain a clean and organised work station in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Lead by example in demonstrating technical skills and customer service excellence to junior team members.
Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and foster loyalty.
Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and products within the hairdressing industry.
Communicate effectively with clients in English, ensuring they are fully informed about their treatments and aftercare.
Assist in training new staff members or apprentices as required.

Requirements

Proven experience in hair styling and barbering with a comprehensive portfolio of work.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with clients professionally and courteously.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in hairdressing or barbering recognised within the industry.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Organised with keen attention to detail to ensure high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with previous experience mentoring or supervising junior staff members is desirable but not essential.
