Overview

We are seeking a talented Freelance Social Media Content Creator & Video Editor to support the launch and growth of Gulhaya, a modern modest occasionwear brand.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual who is passionate about fashion, social media and visual storytelling. You will work closely with the founder to transform existing footage into engaging short-form content, while also helping to develop, script, film and edit future content for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.

The role will begin with an initial paid one-day, in-person session in Leeds,with the potential for regular freelance work and the opportunity to grow alongside the brand.

Gulhaya’s aesthetic is elegant, feminine, warm, contemporary and quietly confident. We are looking for someone who can create content that feels current and engaging while maintaining a refined and premium visual style.

Duties

Develop creative content concepts that align with Gulhaya’s brand identity, values and target audience.
Write engaging hooks, short scripts, voiceovers and on-screen text.
Edit high-quality short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok and other social-media platforms.
Add subtitles, suitable music, sound, transitions and basic colour correction.
Create clean and consistent social-media covers and titles.
Develop ideas, scripts and shot lists for future content.
Work alongside the founder to film product, founder-led and behind-the-scenes content.
Create content around new collections, product launches, campaigns and the story behind the brand.
Monitor relevant social-media and fashion trends and adapt suitable ideas to reflect Gulhaya’s identity.
Suggest captions, calls to action and an appropriate posting schedule.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the brand’s social-media style and content direction.
Support future content planning and production as the brand grows.

Skills and experience

Experience creating and editing short-form social-media content.
Strong video-editing skills using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar software.
Confidence developing content concepts, hooks and scripts.
Strong visual storytelling skills with an eye for composition, colour, movement and detail.
An understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok and current social-media formats.
The ability to create premium, fashion-led content without relying on excessive effects or generic templates.
Experience within fashion, beauty, luxury, lifestyle or founder-led brands is desirable.
Ability to film high-quality content using a phone or camera.
Strong communication and collaborative working skills.
Reliable, organised and able to meet agreed deadlines.
Comfortable working independently while also contributing ideas and creative direction.
Based in Leeds or able to travel to Leeds for in-person working sessions.

For the right person, the role may develop into regular freelance work supporting monthly content production, campaign shoots, collection launches, founder storytelling, events and future brand projects.
