Full job description

We are seeking a highly organised, trustworthy and proactive Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant to provide direct support to the Managing Director of a growing business.

This is a varied role combining traditional Executive Assistant duties with occasional personal assistance responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping manage business commitments, schedules and day-to-day organisation, whilst also assisting with personal and family-related arrangements when required.

No two days will be the same. This position would suit someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of tasks and is comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Assistant Duties

Diary and calendar management
Scheduling meetings and appointments
Email management and correspondence
Organising travel and accommodation
Preparing documents, reports and presentations
Managing reminders, deadlines and follow-up actions
Supporting business administration activities
Liaising with suppliers, clients and professional advisors
Assisting with project and operational coordination
Maintaining organised records and filing systems

Personal Assistant Duties

Managing personal appointments and commitments
Coordinating family schedules when required
Organising deliveries and household appointments
Running occasional errands
Assisting with school collections and family logistics when required
Supporting personal administration and organisation
Helping ensure day-to-day commitments run smoothly

We are looking for someone who is:

Highly organised and reliable
Trustworthy and discreet
Professional and personable
Comfortable managing confidential information
Proactive and solutions-focused
Able to prioritise multiple tasks
Confident communicating with people at all levels
Comfortable working independently

Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Office Manager, Administrator, Operations Coordinator or similar role would be advantageous but is not essential.

Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence
Access to a vehicle
Ability to travel within the Manchester area when required
Strong organisational and communication skills
Good IT and administrative skills
