Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Children's Sports Coaches to join the team for weekend sessions, with some weekday opportunities available. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging sports activities tailored to children, fostering a positive environment that encourages physical activity, teamwork, and fun. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports coaching and teaching to make a meaningful impact on children's health and development.
Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate sports sessions that promote skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment
- Supervise children during activities ensuring safety and adherence to programme guidelines
- Encourage participation and build confidence among young participants
- Maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere that motivates children to engage actively in sports
- Assist with setting up equipment and preparing venues for sessions
- Provide feedback to parents or guardians regarding children's progress when required
- Support the organisation of special events or tournaments as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching children is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage young children
- Enthusiastic, patient, and reliable with a genuine passion for working with children
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Flexibility to work on weekends with some weekday opportunities available
- Relevant certifications in sports coaching or first aid are advantageous but not mandatory
- Due to the equipment required, own transport is essential
