Part-time Delivery Driver and Warehouse Assistant
Fixed term, temporary role until the end of the summer season although some additional hours likely available during the busy periods.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our growing distribution team as a part time delivery driver and warehouse assistant..
The role is a multi-function role working within our warehouse and distribution side of the business. The role will mainly involve picking and distributing our gelato products to our various parlours, sites and wholesale customers around the Highland area.
Your week would typically involve time spent working within our freezers picking gelato and ice cream ready for delivery, as well as dry stock required for our parlours.
It will involve ensuring the van is correctly loaded with gelato products, as well as cones, tubs etc. for each drop. There will be elements of heavy lifting and manual handling as the trays of gelato are stored on trollies that are used for transportation. Due to the nature of the product, this role will involve elements of working within the freezer and an awareness of temperature controls to ensure product quality is not compromised while delivering to our customers is required.
We are looking for someone with at least three years driving experience and no more than three points on their licence. As you will be driving a branded company van, you will need to have a courteous and safe driving manner.
The role will involve completing pre-delivery vehicle safety checks as well as accurately recording temperature records upon each delivery.
The role is part to full time, initially temporary over the summer, fixed term until the end of the season, at which point it can be reviewed for extension depending on the needs of the business and right person.

Responsibilities
- Picking stock for deliveries - this will involve working within the freezer and warehouse to pick both frozen and dry goods
- Returning empty metal gelato trays from the parlours to the factory following delivery
- Delivery of our wholesale
- Recording temperatures of the freezer and ensure they are within the tolerance required
Skills/Experience
- Minimum 3 years driving experience on a full UK licence. (For insurance requirements, depending on length of experience this may need to be extended.)
- No more than 3 points on licence
- Delivery experience preferred but not essential. Please note this role will involve elements of heavy lifting/manual handling
- Friendly and professional manner
- Ability to provide excellent customer service as this role will require you to represent the company at our parlours and external sites
- Ability to work without constant supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to adapt to different needs of the business to support the team where required.
This is a part-time position initially, but may lead to additional hours up to full time, over our busier summer season.

Pay: £12.80-£13.00 per hour
