Job Overview
Tom Harrison House is looking for a passionate, organised, and motivated Volunteer & Peer Mentor Coordinator to lead the development and coordination of our volunteer and Peer Mentor programmes across Tom Harrison House and The Bridge House Project.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help build a thriving community of volunteers and individuals with lived experience who play a vital role in supporting veterans and others recovering from addiction and mental health challenges. You will oversee the recruitment, training, coordination, and ongoing support of volunteers and Peer Mentors, ensuring they are equipped to make a meaningful and lasting difference.
Working closely with our Therapeutic Team and colleagues across the organisation, you will coordinate placements, manage volunteer and Peer Mentor requests, monitor programme performance, and promote a culture of safeguarding, inclusion, recovery, and continuous improvement. You will also help develop strong partnerships within the local community to attract new volunteers and strengthen opportunities for engagement.
This role would suit someone with experience in volunteer management, community engagement, peer support, or programme coordination who has excellent organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills. A genuine commitment to recovery, wellbeing, and empowering others is essential.
