Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in catering, cooking, and restaurant operations within a professional setting.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely delivery of dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment
Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Help with serving food to customers or guests as required
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers to prevent contamination
Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing tasks and maintaining a positive attitude
Assist with inventory checks and stock organisation to ensure supplies are readily available for daily operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are desirable
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
Enthusiasm for learning about culinary processes and customer service excellence
