Production Operative

£13.00 per hour | Full-Time, Temporary

Working hours:

Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am–2:00pm
38.22 hours per week

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting a Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role assembling electrical components, carrying out quality checks, and supporting production to ensure high standards are consistently met.

This is a temporary, full-time position offering stable hours, with an early finish on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble part and fully finished electrical components and products
Carry out visual quality checks and testing (where trained)
Boxing, packing, and preparing products for dispatch
Prepare components for production and feed machines
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
Monitor quality and report issues to the Production Team Leader
Handle components and equipment correctly and safely
Participate in training, continuous improvement, and Lean initiatives
Promote health, safety, and environmental standards at all times

Skills & Experience

Good numeracy and literacy skills (verbal and written)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good manual dexterity
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Confident following instructions and procedures
Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
Awareness of health & safety practices
