Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Operative to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling components and products, ensuring quality standards are met. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently within a team. Prior experience in assembly or warehouse settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and gain practical experience in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Assemble products and components accurately according to specifications and work instructions
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly processes
Conduct quality checks on assembled items to ensure compliance with quality standards
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including the correct handling of tools and materials
Assist with inventory management by organising parts and supplies within the warehouse
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines

Qualifications

Basic mechanical knowledge is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is key
Experience using hand tools and power tools in a workshop or warehouse environment is advantageous
Previous experience in assembly or warehouse roles is beneficial but not mandatory
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
Willingness to undertake training to develop technical skills
