We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Trainee Contracts Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in engineering, project coordination, and contract delivery while learning from experienced professionals in a supportive environment.
As a Trainee Contracts Engineer, you’ll be involved in live projects from order through to completion, gaining valuable experience across technical, commercial, and administrative aspects of contract delivery. What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the coordination and administration of contracts
- Maintaining project documents, reports, and records
- Helping monitor progress against timescales and customer requirements
- Assisting with project documentation, including risk assessments and method statements
- Liaising with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Supporting procurement and tracking materials or orders
- Assisting with planning, scheduling, and project updates
What we’re looking for:

- Confidence using IT systems and learning new processes
While not essential, experience or exposure in the following would also be highly desirable:
- Storage tank design standards
- Tank fabrication and erection
- Mechanical engineering principles
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
