Plumbing & Heating Engineer (Gas Safe)

Location: West Lothian & Central Scotland

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £38,000–£46,000 per year (depending on experience)

Kyle Barr Plumbing & Heating is a growing, family-run plumbing and heating company based in West Lothian. We specialise in boiler breakdowns, servicing, installations and heating systems across domestic, commercial and catering sectors.

We're building a reputation for honest advice, high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. As our workload continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled Plumbing & Heating Engineer who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems.

The Role

You'll be responsible for carrying out a variety of plumbing and heating work, including:

Boiler breakdown diagnosis and repairs
Boiler servicing
Boiler installations and system upgrades
General plumbing repairs
Heating system fault finding
Radiator replacements
Heating controls and smart thermostats
Powerflushing (training provided if required)
Customer advice and recommendations
Completing job reports using ServiceM8

You'll work independently whilst representing the company professionally in customers' homes and businesses.

What We're Looking ForEssential

Gas Safe Registered
CCN1 and relevant domestic gas qualifications
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Plumbing & Heating Engineer
Full UK Driving Licence
Excellent fault-finding skills
Good communication and customer service
Ability to work independently
Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Desirable

G3 Unvented qualification
LPG qualifications
Commercial Gas qualifications
OFTEC
Experience using ServiceM8 or similar software
Baxi, Vaillant or Worcester experience

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
