Job Summary
We are a well-established landscaping company based in South London and are currently looking to recruit an experienced and skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team.
The role involves assisting and supporting our main landscapers with a wide range of landscaping projects for private and commercial clients across South London, mainly in and around Croydon, Sutton, Bromley and Wimbledon.
This is not a position for a general labourer. Applicants must have relevant landscaping experience and be capable of assisting with skilled and higher-level landscaping tasks, rather than only digging, carrying and clearing.

Key responsibilities:
- Assisting the main landscaper with hard and soft landscaping projects
- Helping with paving, patios, pathways, fencing, decking and sleeper installations
- Preparing, levelling and compacting ground and sub-bases
- Assisting with measuring, setting levels and marking out work areas
- Mixing mortar and concrete to the required consistency
- Cutting, positioning and laying paving slabs under supervision
- Assisting with brickwork, edging, drainage and timber construction
- Helping with turf preparation, turf laying and planting
- Using landscaping tools, power tools and machinery safely
- Loading, unloading and moving tools, materials and equipment
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
- Following instructions accurately and carrying out tasks efficiently
- Supporting the main landscaper without requiring constant supervision
- Representing the company in a polite and professional manner
What we offer:
- 6-day working week
- Working hours: 08:00 – 16:30 / 17:00
- Weekly net pay: £720 – £900, depending on experience, ability and performance

Requirements:
- Previous professional landscaping experience is mandatory
- Experience with hard landscaping and garden construction projects
- Ability to assist with skilled landscaping tasks, not only general labouring
- Practical knowledge of paving, fencing, decking, sleepers or similar work
- Confidence using hand tools, power tools and landscaping equipment
- Basic understanding of measurements, levels and ground preparation
- Strong work ethic, reliability and professionalism
- Physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and practical problem-solving skills
- Adaptability and a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high standards
- Mandatory: Valid Settled or Pre-Settled Status with the right to work in the UK
- Driving licence is highly desirable
- UK driving experience is an advantage
- English language skills are beneficial, but not essential
General labourers without relevant professional landscaping experience will not be considered.
