Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Setter & Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machinery to produce high-precision components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in CNC operating/setting. The position is suitable for individuals confident to work independently and in a team.
Duties
- Set up, and operate CNC machines using Fanuc controls
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production
- Use hand tools and tooling to assist with machine setup and part inspection
- Handle materials safely and efficiently within the production area
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot issues related to CNC machinery
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
Experience
- Proven experience in CNC machining or manufacturing environments with a focus on milling or similar processes
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in fabrication, tooling, and materials handling
- Proficiency in operating Fanuc Robo Drills or Matsuura machining centres, Fanuc controls or similar
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during setup and operation
- Shopfloor experience or background in production and inspection is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of precision engineering practises

- 4 day working week (Monday-Thursday)

Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
