Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic gym and leisure Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for all gym members and hotel guests. This position requires a blend of, hospitality experience, and exceptional guest services to ensure that every visitor has a positive experience at our facility. We are seeking someone that will be willing to go the extra mile. We need the individual to have level 2 in fitness or higher.
Duties
- Greet and assist gym members and guests upon entry, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gym equipment, workout areas, and locker rooms to ensure a pleasant environment for all users.
- Monitor gym activities to ensure safety protocols are followed, providing guidance on equipment usage as needed.
- Assist in the management of membership registrations, renewals, and cancellations, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Complete Pool Tests & Plant room monitoring
- Handle any guest complaints or issues with professionalism, aiming for swift resolutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Promote a friendly atmosphere by engaging with members, encouraging their fitness goals, and fostering a sense of community within the gym.
Qualifications
- Fitness qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
- A passion for fitness and wellness is advantageous, along with knowledge of gym equipment and fitness programmes.
- First Aid certification is preferred but not essential; training may be provided. Join us in creating an exceptional fitness experience for our community!
- Plant room training is a bonus but not essential as training can be given
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
