Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge. As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining road safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Perform detailed inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs or adjustments as necessary.
Document test results accurately and provide clear feedback to vehicle owners regarding any issues found.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks when required, ensuring that all equipment is handled safely.

Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in vehicle testing are desirable but not essential.
