Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Team Member to join our morning shift team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily production of bakery items, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within food manufacturing and contribute to a well-established bakery operation.

This role operates on a morning shift pattern, with working hours of 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday - Friday or an evening shift pattern, with working hours of 2:00pm to 10:00pm, Monday - Friday. Please specify what shift pattern you are applying for on the screening questions.

Duties

Working within the bakery section, making and prepping products as per specifications, training and instructions.
Clean ovens, prep workstations and tools during and after shifts.
Ensure all equipment operates properly at all times
Adhering to hygiene working practices to ensure the highest possible standards, and all procedures relating to food safety, legality and quality are adhered to.
Any other additional tasks assigned.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety regulations
Experience in food production or bakery environments is desirable
Comfortable with handling, preparing and baking of food which involves long periods of standing, lifting and carrying as well as other tasks such as cleaning.
Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting quantities accurately
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team and able to understand the company written records and documents.
Attention to detail to ensure product consistency and quality standards are maintained
Willing to change tasks or departments as production requires
Resourceful and adaptable
Able to carry out the tasks that would be reasonably required.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
