About us

We are looking for a receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team of GPs, Nurse practitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and non-clinical team members at Wragby Surgery. The surgery is purpose-built and our mission is to provide high-quality, friendly and accessible primary healthcare to our patients, in the town of Wragby and the surrounding villages.

About the role

As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for a range of patient-facing and administrative tasks including:

Greeting, assisting and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Providing general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
Answering telephone calls and dealing with face to face enquiries.
Scheduling appointments for patients.
Dealing with all requests in an efficient and courteous manner.
Screening enquiries for the doctors and medical staff.
Registering new patients at the surgery.
Accurately collecting information and personal details about patients.
Updating the surgery's computer system with appointments and personal details.
Receiving urine and blood samples and sending them off to hospital laboratories.
Contacting patients as requested by the clinical team.
Maintaining a clean reception and waiting area to show a professional image.

About you

We require a Medical Receptionist with initiative, drive, strong interpersonal, admin and IT skills. You will need to be a good communicator, with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; especially under pressure. A caring, empathetic character is essential. System1 and experience of working in a GP practice is preferred but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
