About Me

Are you reliable, caring, and interested in making a positive difference to someone’s daily life? I would love to hear from you.

I am a retired professional living in Castle Douglas. I enjoy knitting, embroidery, crosswords, sudoku, quiz programmes, reading, and writing about my life.

What I require

Someone to join a small team of personal assistants supporting me at home. I use a wheelchair and need support with personal care, meals, getting up, and going to bed. A hoist and stand aid are used, and training can be arranged if needed.

Key benefits:

£16.50 per hour if employed by me
Self-employed applicants may apply £17.50 per hour
Small, supportive team
Meaningful work in a home environment
Mileage paid for travel over 10 miles from Castle Douglas

Hours

Variable Hours
Morning visits 8am to 9am may need extended on occasion to 10am
Evening visits 10pm to 11pm
Cover occasionally needed for holidays
PVG membership is required.
Holidays 5.6 weeks pro rata
2 PA positions available

Qualities you need

Reliable and punctual
Understanding of confidentiality
Willing to learn new procedures
Happy to complete any required training
