About Trackway Solutions (Part of Generator Power)
Trackway Solutions provides temporary access, ground protection and trackway solutions for a wide range of projects across the UK. Our work supports construction sites, events, utilities, infrastructure works, temporary car parks, walkways, roadways and remote access requirements. We install, manage, maintain and remove trackway systems that help clients gain safe access over difficult or sensitive ground. Trackway is essential for protecting surfaces, reducing site disruption, improving safety and enabling vehicles, plant, workers and pedestrians to move around sites efficiently. We are now looking for a hardworking and reliable Trackway Labourer to join our team in Stevenage. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical outdoor work and takes pride in doing a job properly.
Role Overview
As a Trackway Labourer, you will support the delivery, installation, loading, unloading, movement and removal of medium duty plastic trackway mats. You will work as part of a site team, helping to lay temporary roadways, access routes, walkways and ground protection systems safely and efficiently. The role is physically demanding and will involve working outdoors in all weather conditions. Candidates must be physically fit and able to lift, carry and move heavy trackway mats as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Loading and unloading medium duty plastic trackway mats from vehicles.
- Assisting with the delivery and collection of trackway materials to and from site.
- Installing, moving, positioning and removing trackway mats safely.
- Working outdoors on a variety of client sites, including construction, events, utilities, temporary access and ground protection projects.
- Supporting the team in creating temporary roadways, pedestrian walkways, vehicle access routes and working areas.
- Ensuring mats are laid correctly, securely and in line with site requirements.
- Checking trackway mats for damage, excessive dirt, wear or defects.
- Cleaning, stacking and organising mats, tools and equipment.
- Following instructions from the Lead Operative, Supervisor or Site Manager.
- Helping maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- Following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Using manual handling techniques correctly when lifting and moving equipment.
- Representing Trackway Solutions professionally when working on client sites.
- Assisting with basic site checks before, during and after installation.
- Supporting the team with general labouring duties as required.

Essential Requirements

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
