Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and reliable Assistant Property Manager at Hazlewood Castle Hotel to join our team and help maintain the high standards of our hotel environment.

About the Role
This role is ideal for an ex-plumbing and heating trades person, ideally with experience in the hotel or hospitality sector, who understands the importance of presentation, attention to detail, and working with minimal disruption to guests.

The position requires someone to oversee all aspects of maintenance requirements, leading our current team in the absence of the maintenance manager.

Key Responsibilities

· Direct team to carry out required works effectively and efficiently. Monitor quality of work and time taken to complete

Undertake general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and minor electrical work (where competent)
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and reactive repairs
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to guests
Conduct routine inspections and planned preventative maintenance
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
Work collaboratively with hotel management and housekeeping teams

About You

Proven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance operative with a focus on plumbing and heating, ideally within hospitality
Good all-round maintenance knowledge
Ideally a former tradesperson, with strong plumbing and heating experience
Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
Flexible, reliable, and customer-focused
Sound understanding of health & safety procedures
Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience preferred
