We are seeking a proactive QA Systems Officer to support and enhance our Quality Assurance systems. This role is key to ensuring compliance with industry standards including cGMP, FSSC 22000, FEMAS, UFAS, and BETA NOPS, while driving continuous improvement across site quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Complaints (Process Owner):

Manage the end-to-end customer complaint process, including recording, investigation, resolution, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Track Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), identify trends, and recommend improvements.
Supplier Complaints:

Support the recording, investigation, and management of supplier-related quality issues, ensuring effective resolution and follow-up.
Internal Audit Programme Owner:

Develop, implement, and manage the internal audit programme to ensure compliance with GMP and food/feed safety standards. Work cross-functionally to close gaps and drive improvements.
Supplier Audits:

Support supplier audit activities to ensure ongoing compliance and collaborate with suppliers to address any non-conformances.
Batch Release:
-
Perform batch record reviews and administer Certificates of Analysis in line with quality standards.
TACCP & VACCP (Process Owner):

Lead and manage TACCP and VACCP processes to mitigate risks of intentional adulteration. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies with key stakeholders.
Training:

Develop and deliver quality systems induction training to new employees, ensuring strong understanding of QA principles and compliance requirements.
Project Support:

Provide QA support to cross-functional projects, ensuring quality is embedded throughout project lifecycles.
Quality KPIs:

Define, monitor, and report on quality KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
QA Systems Support:

Assist the QA Systems Manager with ongoing system maintenance and improvements.
Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality performance across the site.
Skills & Experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Confident IT user (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

Proven auditing capability

Experience in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation

Ability to analyse and present data trends effectively
Education & Background
-
Bachelor’s degree or HND/HNC (or equivalent)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a quality assurance role

Internal auditing experience or relevant training
-
Background in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing
-
Knowledge of cGMP and/or ISO 9001 (desirable)
