We deliver engaging gymnastics classes for pre-school and school-age children that build their strength, confidence, coordination, and love for movement. We are looking for a next part time coach who can work SUNDAYS to join our OUTSTANDING team. Full training is provided - enthusiasm is essential, experience is a bonus! Additional hours may be available.
Experience with pre-school children is essential and you'll need some experience in gymnastics, dance or similar sport either as a participant or coach.
We are interviewing on a rolling basis and will close this role early if a suitable candidate is found.
Duties
- Plan and deliver safe, fun, and engaging gymnastics classes tailored to different age groups and ability levels (training provided).
- Demonstrate proper techniques for various gymnastics routines and exercises
- Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Monitor progress of gymnasts, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
- Set up and maintain equipment and ensure the training area is clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding progress and upcoming events.
Qualifications & Skills
(Full training provided – attitude matters more than experience)
- Ability to demonstrate basic fitness/gymnastics movements to children.
- Love of working with children (from 18 months to 8 years).
- Energetic, reliable, and fun personality to create a positive and supportive environment where every child thrives.
- Confidence in speaking with and guiding parents when needed in a professional way.
- Previous experience with children aged 18 months to primary school is essential
- Previous experience with gymnastics either as an participant or a coach is required.
- Work as part of a supportive and motivated coaching team.
- An enhanced DBS and first aid certification are desirable. These will be arranged for the right candidate.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
