Full job description

We are a well-established family-run business with a strong local reputation, and we’re looking for an experienced Office Administrator / Receptionist to become a valued part of our team. This is a key role within the business, suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a friendly, supportive workplace where experience truly matters.

About the Role

You will be the welcoming face and organisational backbone of the office, helping everything run smoothly day to day.

This is a varied, hands-on role requiring confidence in administration, accounts support, scheduling, and sales administration.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, dependable, and happy to get involved wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming visitors and handling telephone calls and emails in a friendly, professional manner.

Managing day-to-day office administration.

Accounts administration, including invoicing, processing payments, and working with Sage.

Sales administration, including preparing quotations, order processing, and customer correspondence.

Scheduling and diary management, coordinating appointments and workloads.

Accurate data entry and maintenance of records.

Maintaining tidy and accurate filing systems, including full alphabetical filing.

Liaising with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

Supporting the team and management to continually improve office processes.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in an office administration, reception, accounts admin, or sales admin role is desired but not essential.

Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Sage.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.

Able to multi-task and manage priorities calmly.

Friendly, approachable, and professional.

A team-focused attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
