Nursery Assistant
Permanent Part time | 29 hours per week | Monday – Friday - £12.71 per hour
Join our team at a nature-based setting where we embrace the Curiosity Approach accreditation, fostering a child-led play environment that nurtures curiosity, exploration, and independence. Our large, welcoming setting cares for children from 3 months to 5 years old, offering a variety of enriching experiences that support their development at every stage. The children have access to our unique rooftop garden, complete with a pizza oven, where they can explore and engage in hands-on, creative activities. We are looking for a Nursery Assistant to join our growing team and provide the highest standard of compliance, care and education for children and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with management, colleagues and parents.
Requirements

The care and supervision of the children about their physical, emotional and intellectual needs.

Working with the Early Years Practitioners on planning and preparation of activities, to meet children’s individual needs, liaising with parents and negotiating working targets ensuring effective communication within the nursery.

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always.

Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.

Assist with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt

Take part in delivering the highest standards of care throughout the nursery
