Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for craftsmanship and attention to detail to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties. Applicants should possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling cracks or holes prior to painting or decorating
Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other tools
Mixing paints and colours to achieve desired shades and textures
Protecting furniture, fixtures, and flooring during decorating work
Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations
Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Assisting with the planning and interpretation of decorating plans or specifications

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred
Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and decorating techniques
Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting equipment or travelling between sites
Strong communication skills in English are essential for understanding instructions and liaising with clients and colleagues
Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team environment
Familiarity with health and safety standards related to painting and decorating activities

This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to develop their skills within the construction sector while delivering high-quality decorating services.

Pay: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
