About us We are an established heating and plumbing company. We're expanding our air conditioning services and are looking for a qualified, reliable F-Gas registered engineer to work with us on an ongoing subcontractor basis.
The role You'll survey, quote, install, service and repair air conditioning units across domestic and light commercial properties. This is a customer-facing role, so a professional and tidy approach is essential — you'll be representing our brand on every job.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out site surveys and provide accurate quotations for AC installations
- Install split and multi-split systems to manufacturer specifications and F-Gas standards
- Service and maintain existing units (filter cleaning, leak checks, performance testing)
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Complete F-Gas logs and all relevant compliance documentation
- Deliver excellent customer service and clear advice to clients
Essential requirements
- F-Gas certification (C&G 2079 / Category 1)
- Proven experience installing and servicing split/multi-split systems
- Own tools and equipment
- Own reliable transport and a full UK driving licence
- Public liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
- Self-employed status with a UTR and CIS registration
- Professional, reliable and able to work to a high standard unsupervised
Desirable
- VRF/VRV experience
- Electrical qualifications (18th Edition / Part P)
- Heat pump / air-to-air installation experience
