Job Title: Data Services Team Leader

Location: Warton or Samlesbury. Hybrid – 3 days per week on site.

Job Description:

You will manage a team of technical developers and data engineers, driving the delivery of key projects while overseeing business-as-usual activities and leading continuous improvement initiatives. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping how data is leveraged across the organisation.

Core duties:

Managing a Team of technical developers, providing line management duties
Conducting regular 1-2-1s in the team
Completing PDRs, Development plans and goals for the team
Working closely with Architecture, PMs, BAs, testers and SCRUM Masters to ensure the delivery of products and services to our customers
Running Team Meetings and setting workload priorities
Working within Attlassian toolset to manage work queue of the team
Engagement with customers of the delivery schedule and progress of developments
Working with team to resolve incidents and changes

Essential Skills:

Good working knowledge of SQL Server
Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for data integration and ETL processes
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language
