Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sandwich Maker to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality sandwiches and other food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads according to established recipes and customer specifications.
- Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment regularly.
- Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and providing friendly assistance.
- Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities.
- Manage time effectively to ensure orders are completed promptly during busy periods.
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment for pop colleagues and customers.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or within a restaurant environment is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy is preferred.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Kitchen or culinary experience will be considered an asset, especially familiarity with fast-paced food service settings.
- Strong time management skills are essential to ensure timely delivery of orders during peak hours.
