Full job description

We’re recruiting seasonal team members to work across one or more of our outdoor activities at Willen Lake: Adventure Cycle Hire, Combat Zone and Zorb Wars. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where safety, energy and reliability are key.

What you’ll be doing (depending on activity)Adventure Cycle Hire

· • Welcome customers, check bookings, help select the right hire option

· • Deliver safety guidance for hires and answer questions

· • Set up / move / pack away cycles and complete basic checks

· • Use a booking system (phone/tablet) and follow hire procedures

Combat Zone & Zorb Wars (Session Leader / Marshal Role)

· • Run and lead customer sessions from start to finish

· • Deliver clear safety briefs and rules, demonstrate how sessions work

· • Organise teams, manage time, and keep sessions fun, fair and controlled

· • Supervise participants, enforce boundaries/rules, and respond confidently if issues arise

· • Set up / pack away equipment and complete pre/post-session checks

· • Use booking/check-in processes and record any incidents or equipment issues

Full training provided to lead sessions — we’re looking for the right attitude and confidence.

What we’re looking for:

Essential

· • Confident, friendly, approachable and comfortable speaking to groups

· • Reliable, honest and hard-working

· • Physically fit (lifting/moving equipment is part of the job)

· • Comfortable using basic tech (booking system) and working to procedures

· • Available for weekends and school holidays (Cycle Hire/Combat Zone) and/or able to take ad-hoc session shifts (Zorb Wars)

Preferred (but not essential)

· • Flexible to work across more than one business/activity

· • Customer-facing experience (hospitality, retail, leisure, events, etc.)

· • For cycle hire shifts: basic cycle knowledge/maintenance is helpful (training can be provided)

· • Experience coaching/leading groups (sports, camps, clubs) is a bonus

Local / flexibility

Local applicants preferred due to occasional short-notice cover needs (busy days, weather changes, sickness cover).
